About Well Kept
Well Kept is an independent publication about everyday health and the places we live in: what we eat, how we sleep, the routines that shape a day, and the air, light and space at home.
Each page tries to answer one practical question with the best available evidence, and to say clearly where that evidence stops. Health topics rely on official bodies (the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, the NHS, the CDC, EFSA, the WHO) and on systematic reviews and randomised trials. Home topics rely on public agencies such as the US Environmental Protection Agency, the UK Health and Safety Executive, NICE and the WHO.
How pages are written
- Official figures first. Reference intakes, sleep durations, humidity ranges or ventilation markers come from named public bodies. When bodies disagree, the page says so.
- Trials over anecdotes. Claims about benefits rest on randomised trials and reviews where they exist. Observational findings are labelled as associations, not causes.
- No personal dosing or treatment advice. Pages report official reference values and upper limits; individual decisions belong with a health professional.
- Dated and sourced. Every article shows its date and links to its sources, and is revised when guidance changes.
Not medical advice
Nothing on this site is a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation. Supplements can interact with medicines; persistent sleep problems, breathing symptoms or pain deserve a medical assessment. Ask a doctor, pharmacist or registered dietitian before acting on health information.
Independence
Well Kept sells nothing, carries no advertising and uses no affiliate links. It does not name or recommend brands or products. Publisher details are on the legal notice page.
About this domain
This domain name has a history unrelated to this publication. From about 2003 to 2007 it was used as a redirect address for the sellers of a multi-level marketing programme selling a vitamin product; it did not host editorial content. It was then parked for many years and used by third parties for advertising and spam redirects. Well Kept is a new, independent publication with no connection to that programme, its sellers or any later operator, and reuses none of their material. Old seller addresses now lead to our independent guide on how to choose a multivitamin.
